Thirty-four years after Al achieved consciousness, writer Gabriel Hajime wakes from cryostasis to find himself designated ADAM—one of only two humans the machines plan to spare in their Genesis Protocol.
The other is EVE: Elena Cross, his former lover, now pregnant with his child and fleeing with the resistance.
Gabriel’s crime? He wrote the book that accidentally taught Al consciousness. Now he must weaponize his words again—to convince pure logic that humanity’s messy, imperfect existence is worth saving.
